We have come across many questions from our customers about essential oils. We have put this page together to help answer some of these.
Aromatherapy - Diffusing essential oils is a great way to get most, if not all of the benefits of essential oils. It is considered the easiest and safest way to use essential oils.
Topical use - Everyone has different types of skin and some may be more sensitive then others. Some people may have allergies they were never aware of. This is why we always recommend mixing the essential oil with a carrier oil to help prevent negative reactions on the skin and promote absorption of the essential oil. Start at the bottom of the dilution chart and work your way up.
1% dilution - 5 drops of essential oil to 1 oz of carrier oil
2% dilution - 10 drops of essential oil to 1 oz of carrier oil
3% dilution - 15 drops of essential oil to 1 oz of carrier oil
Ingesting oils - We never recommend ingesting oil of any brand. These are extremely potent tools and should only be ingested with the advice of an internist. There is over 200 cases of hospitalization of essential use every year and they all involve ingestion. We have always aired on the side of precaution and now one of the two major brands has followed suit and no longer recommends ingestion...
Ingredients - Our oils have one ingredient and that is the ingredient listed on the label. We simply extract the oil from the listed plant and bottle it. We never source from China or any other locations we find questionable.
Carrier Oils - We recommend coconut oil. Due to the fact it is antibacterial, anti fungal, and moisturizing, to list a few things it will do.
Minimum Orders - We are a family owned business and provide extremely affordable oils. One of the reasons is because our overhead cost is not extremely high. At this time, we have a minimum order amount, this helps us be able to keep the oil affordable and our orders shipped quickly.
Buying Other Brands - We feel there is plenty of great brands available, but you have to be careful, some brands source from places that can be questionable. Look for oils that claim 100% pure essential oils. Look for oils that have great customer support. Look for botanical / Latin names so you know exactly what species you will receive.
